The Hillary Resurrection

After being ceremonially entombed in Denver last week, the Clinton Cause rises again after the coming of Sarah Palin with murmurings from True Believers.

Ann Lewis, one of Hillary's High Priests, says members of the sect "are now giving McCain-Palin a second look, and it depends on how Palin performs. These voters see Hillary as someone who fought and rose to challenges with persistence, and who spoke in real ways to their lives."

This comes not from a fringe feminist but a Director of Communications and Counselor to the President in the Clinton White House who previously had been Vice President for Public Policy at the Planned Parenthood Federation of America.

Ms. Lewis, who later went on to work on "The West Wing," does concede another possibly story line. “We don’t know yet how Sarah Palin will perform,” she adds, “and if she lets these voters down, gender is no longer an asset, and it could backfire on Republicans.”

At the very least, Clinton diehards insist, the choice of Palin will lead to "a greater role" in the Obama campaign for their role model.

Oh.
