It's rare that anyone has to apologize to President Bush these days, but...

Unaware that the CEO of Ford is a moron, I was among those who regaled blogees with his story of saving Bush from blowing himself up by plugging the cord into the wrong outlet of a hydrogen-electric hybrid on the White House lawn. Never happened. Not even close, as the video of the incident on Keith Olbermann's Countdown tonight shows (Click "Bush's Hybrid Mishap").

So apologies to the White House, and a note to the Ford PR people, the Detroit News and others who promulgated this self-promotion rescue fantasy: Lee Iococca would have never have stooped to this.
