Easter travel this weekend has been fraught with such uncertainties as a pilot getting thrown off his own plane for cursing at passengers and a captain running his cruise ship aground.
So it makes perfect sense that a New York couple will be taking a taxi to their retirement in Arizona, paying $3000 and expenses to spare their cats from making the trip in an airline cargo hold. With the all the worries of animal lovers about tainted food these days, why add to the stress?
Luckily Betty and Bob Matas have made an arrangement with driver Douglas Guldeniz for their trip on Tuesday. They wouldn't want to have to flag down a cab in Manhattan during a weekday rush hour.
