Unlike food and shelter, there is no worldwide shortage of opinions. With 70 million bloggers, to say nothing of MSM, we may all, like Eliza Doolittle, get our fill of words, words, words.
On days like that, there is an alternative. This morning, I did a tiny bit beyond words by making small loans to people who subsist by fishing in Samoa, farming in Ecuador, selling shoes in the Ukraine and running a general store in Togo.
That won’t make much difference but, if even a small percentage of us who give Mankind the benefit of our thinking every day, would follow suit, it could. The way to do it is through Kiva, whose web site explains how.
It feels good to put your money where your mouth is.
