After its long silence about the Virginia Tech massacre, the National Rifle Association is back in action, protecting the Second Amendment rights of terrorists.
In a letter to Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, the NRA expressed alarm over the Justice Department’s wildly liberal support of a proposed law to ban sales of guns to anyone on a terror watch list, pointing out that “the word 'suspect' has no legal meaning, particularly when it comes to denying constitutional liberties."
In short, the NRA position is that you have to kill somebody or blow up something before losing your right to buy a lethal weapon. Guns don’t kill people, only people who have already killed people do.
